I’m Jen LaBar. I’m a small business owner, professional dog trainer, behavior consultant, mentor, and business coach for pet service entrepreneurs.

I teach pet lovers how to create exciting, successful, fulfilling businesses as pet service professionals so that they can make a living doing the work they love.

My clients may best be described as the 4 P’s: Pet Peeps with a Passion and a Purpose.

Some of my clients are just starting out and are entirely new to the world of pet services. Some are seasoned professionals with established pet service businesses. Some of my clients have a part-time, side biz, and others have a full-time pet business. 

Regardless of the specific pet service they provide, or the length of time they’ve had their business, their needs and wants are all the same: to grow and maintain their business, to earn a good reputation in their community, to do what they love, and to enjoy a healthy income without spending enormous amounts of time, money, and energy to see results. 

In other words, they want simple, effective, business-building techniques that offer a high return on investment.  

After starting, growing, and managing a successful dog training, boarding, daycare, pet sitting, and dog walking business for over 20 years, I’ve learned what works. I also know what doesn’t work. You might say, I’ve pretty much done and tried it all.

Now, I teach other pet professionals how to avoid costly mistakes and wasted time. 

I gain incredible satisfaction from helping people create the business of their dreams. 

I take the guess work out of business building by providing a roadmap that clearly explains each essential step along the way. 

My goal is to simplify every aspect of starting and running a business.

Jen LaBar has owned a successful dog training business for more than 20 years. She’s helped numerous entrepreneurs start and grow pet service businesses of their own. Jen’s educational accomplishments include: a B.A. in Biology (with an emphasis in Animal Behavior and Learning Theory) from San Diego State University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from National University, Certification as a Pet Nutrition and Dietary Specialist, Veterinary Assistant Certification, and Honors Certification in Dog Obedience Training from Animal Behavior College.
